Allied Economic Forum 2023 Berlin

Jul 11, 2023 09:00 - 17:15

The Allied Economic Forum was launched by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) under the organizing principle that certain economic security policies require close coordination among like-minded countries to be effective. To that end, CSIS has partnered with global partners in Europe and in the Pacific, including MERICS in Germany, Institute Montaigne in France, The Clingendael Institute in The Netherlands and the Institute of Geoeconomics in Japan.

The Forum meets twice a year to discuss some of the most relevant topics in economic security and brings together policymakers from all the countries represented.

Discussions at the Berlin meeting focused on semiconductor export controls, outbound investment screening, the EU economic security strategy, and managing critical dependencies in supply chains.
