Dr. Markus Kerber is Managing Partner at 1886 Ventures GmbH, Chairman at Heinz Dürr GmbH as well as Senior Advisor at DGA-Albright Stonebridge Group. He is a former State Secretary of the German Federal Government and former CEO of the Federation of German Industries. He was also an investment banker and former CFO of the German IT service provider GFT Technologie SE.
He earned his B.A. and PhD from University of Hohenheim, during which time, he received the DAAD scholarship and spent half a year at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. His dissertation focused on Geoeconomics and Paul Kennedy’s “The Rise and Fall of Nations.”
