Michael Laha

Michael Laha is an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation German Chancellor Fellow at MERICS. He conducts research on innovation policy, the role of China in the transatlantic relationship, and China’s governance model. Before joining the MERICS team, Michael worked at the Asia Society Center on US-China Relations where he most recently was a Senior Program Officer and where he also served as the ChinaFile Books Editor. He holds a M.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures from Columbia University and B.S. in Chemistry from Tufts University.
