Nele Fabian is a Senior Editor in the Communications and Publications team. She is based in Brussels and also supports the MERICS Foreign Relations team on a regular basis.

Before joining MERICS, Nele was a Senior European Affairs Manager at Friedrich Naumann Stiftung in Brussels, where she was responsible for the topic areas geopolitics, geoeconomics, EU-China and EU-UK relations. 

She holds a B.A. in Politics, Economy and Society and an M.A. in Chinese History and Philosophy from Ruhr University Bochum, where she received her PhD as well. For her dissertation she conducted extensive field research on modern Chinese environmental and social history.
