China’s next Five-Year-Plan: What it says – and what it means for Europe
You are kindly invited to a MERICS briefing on China’s next Five-Year-Plan: What it says – and what it means for Europe. Please join us online on March 13 from 9:00 to 9:30 (CET).
This week, the so-called “Two Sessions” are starting in Beijing: The meeting of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the highest government advisory body, began yesterday. Today, China’s legislature – the National People’s Congress (NPC) – will convene its annual gathering, which will last eight days. The NPC meeting will culminate in the adoption of the 15th Five-Year Plan, China’s key policy document for the rest of the decade.
The full 15th Five-Year Plan is set to be published by Thursday, March 12. MERICS experts will present their read out the next morning in a crisp 30-minute online briefing.
The event will be held in English. This event is part of our portfolio for MERICS Members and partners.
