How China counters the West's global ideological predominance

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) sees China involved in an ideological confrontation with „the West“, which primarily refers to the United States, but also includes Europe. Under Xi Jinping’s leadership, the CCP’s propaganda apparatus works hard to create and promote a set of Chinese values and norms to present an alternative to „Western“ concepts of democracy, free markets and civil liberties and to discredit Western institutions.
